お笑いコンビ「バナナマン」の日村勇紀さんが4月11日、東京都内で行われた主演映画「新選組オブ・ザ・デッド」（渡辺一志監督）の初日舞台あいさつに登場。ゾンビになってしまう新選組の“お荷物”隊士、屑山下衆太郎（くずやま・げすたろう）という役のオファーを受けたときの心境について日村さんは「この役をやって何十年後かにどっかのバラエティー番組でVTRが使われるかもしれないと思った。20年くらい芸能界でやっていけると“宝物”をもらった感じ」とホクホク顔だった。
舞台あいさつには、女優の山本千尋さん、グラビアアイドルの水樹たまさん、俳優の古旗宏治さん、川岡大次郎さん、お笑い芸人のチャド・マレーンさん、渡辺監督も出席した。ゾンビを演じた日村さんは「ゾンビ役で苦労したことをよく聞かれるけれど、『あー』しかいわないから楽だった」と話し、笑いを誘っていた。
映画は、突然ゾンビが出現した幕末の京都を舞台に、新選組隊士という身分をいいことに好き勝手に振る舞ってきた男が、ゾンビに出くわしてかまれ、命を取り留めたものの肉体が次第にゾンビ化し、ゾンビ対新選組の戦いに巻き込まれていく……というストーリー。

Yuki Himura of the comedy duo “Bananaman” appeared a the stage greetings event on the premiere of the movie “Samurai of the Dead” (directed by Kazushi Watanabe) in which he plays main role held in Tokyo on April 11th. Talking about the feelings when he receives offer for the role of Gesutarou Kusuyama, a “baggage” soldier of Shinsengumi, who has turned into a Zombee, Himura said:”I thought that if I plays the role, tens years later VTR may be used in a variety program somewhere …I have work in the world of showbizz for 20 years but this make me feel like I’ve gained a treasure!”, with a delighting face.
