女性ダンス・ボーカルグループ「E－girls」の石井杏奈さんが9月12日、東京都内で行われた映画「ガールズ・ステップ」（川村泰祐監督）の初日舞台あいさつに川村監督らと出席。石井さんは、ダンスをテーマにした本作が映画初主演となる。
「ガールズ・ステップ」は、地味で目立たなく、高校で「ジミーズ」と呼ばれる西原あずさ（石井さん）ら5人の女子高生がダンスを通じて成長する姿を描いた青春ストーリー。この日はほかにも、小芝風花さん、小野花梨さん、秋月三佳さん、上原実矩さん、主題歌を担当している「GENERATIONS from EXILE TRIBE」のメンバーも出席した。
