日本とフィリピンでの生活で培った様々な音楽的バックグラウンドと、喜怒哀楽の豊かな感情を声にのせ、日本語、英語を使ってハイブリッドに表現するシンガー。
3歳よりクワイヤに参加して自然と音楽の道へ。13歳の時に日本語が分からないままフィリピンより日本へ移住。言葉の壁に躓きながら葛藤し、必死で言葉を伝えようとするうちに『言葉を歌で伝える』アーティストへと成長していく。その過程で、世界的オーディション番組の日本版「X Factor Okinawa Japan」にチャレンジして注目を集めると、その後様々なメディアでその歌声はもちろんのこと、「心から歌っている」と表現力の高さを評価される。
2018年4月には、クラウドファンディングにてZepp Divercity Tokyoでのライブを支援するプログラム「Road to Zepp」の第一弾アーティストに選出。予想より早く目標額を達成し、満員の観客の前でパフォーマンスを披露。同年8月、自分の歌がどこまで通用するのかを確かめるべく、自ら応募し、単身で本場の「The X Factor (UK)」に挑戦。ウェンブリー・アリーナでパフォーマンスを披露し、3000人観客からスタンディングオベーション。サイモンコーウェルも絶賛したが、惜しくもステージ4で涙を飲んだ。この経験をバネに、2019年には自身初の東名阪ワンマンライブツアーを開催し、配信限定EP「MAKE A DIFFERENCE EP」、CD「CLARITY」をリリース。
2020年5月、シングル「Pride」でメジャーデビュー。
2020年11月には、1996年の初演以来ブロードウェイで12年4か月のロングラン、世界15カ国で各国版の上演、2006年には映画化もされたNY発祥のミュージカル「RENT」の日本版公演にて、スパニッシュ系のダンサー「ミミ」役で出演。
2021年、8～9月 NHK「みんなのうた」を「スナビキソウ」で初めて担当。 8月27日(金)にはワンマンライブを開催しSOLD OUT。 また、9月3日(金)公開「科捜研の女 -劇場版-」主題歌に「声」が決定。
Harumi is a 25 years old and mix of Filipino and Japanese singer who expresses her rich emotions in her voice, using both Japanese and English, as well as her diverse musical background cultivated through her life in Japan and the Philippines.
At the age of 3, she began participating in choir, which naturally led her to a career in music. At the age of 13, she moved to Japan from the Philippines without understanding new language, struggling with the barriers and trying desperately to convey her words, and grew into an artist who conveys words through song.
In the process, she challenged the world-famous audition program “X FACTOR OKINAWA JAPAN” and attracted attention.She became an artist known for her ability to express herself.
In April 2018, she was selected as the first artist for “Road to Zepp”, a crowdfunding program to support live events at Zepp Divercity Tokyo. She achieved the target amount earlier than expected and performed in front of a packed audience.
In August, in order to see how far her songs could go, she applied to perform at the “X FACTOR UK” event on her own. Performed at Wembley Arena and received a standing ovation from 3,000 audiences. Simon Cowell also praised her performance, but unfortunately she had to leave at Stage 4.
Based on such experiences, she held her first Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka one-man live tour in 2019, and released a distribution-only EP “MAKE A DIFFERENCE EP” and CD “CLARITY. In May 2020, made major label debut with the single “Pride.
In November 2020, she played the role of Mimi, a Spanish dancer, in the Japanese version of “RENT,” the well-known musical that originated in New York and has had a long run on Broadway for 12 years and 4 months since its premiere in 1996, has been performed in 15 countries around the world in various versions, and was made into a movie in 2006.
