Dr. Chris Kunkle, co-founder of the Criminal Investigation Resource Center at Russell Sage College, operates out of South Carolina- currently serving as the deputy director of the South Carolina Department of Corrections, as well as a forensic and clinical psychologist and longtime criminal justice adjunct professor.
Aside from his current role, Dr. Kunkle is a longtime sexual-offender treatment specialist, creating programs within New York State Prison systems and around the country.
Kunkle brings his insight to the students after working on cold cases with a different agency remotely from across the US and seeing the need for organization within the field. Kunkle uses his expertise as a psychologist and former forensic DNA expert to challenge the students ways of thinking and create a professional product to be handed over to law enforcement.
