My second favorite Monogatari Series 2nd Season opening; I like this song more than Ren’ai Circulation, to be honest. The eccentric feel of this song, the smooth Kana Hanazawa vocals, and the instrumentals: everything about Mousou Express (Delusion Express) is pretty sick.
Backstory: 99 days ago, when I uploaded my “happy bite” cover, I was going to play this for that week’s next upload as a part of my Monogatari Series Second Season Project. I couldn’t do it due to my lack of creativity and skill, and I kinda forgot about it as the Fall 2020 season began, along with all the new music. I left this project behind all the way until today.
In a way, I’m happy I waited. This is about x100 better than the pretty awful arrangements I thought up three months ago. However, I do have to deeply apologize to my subscribers who stayed for my Monogatari covers; I left you guys hanging for over 3 months. But better late than never, here is my take on Otorimonogatari arc’s iconic opening! Nadeko needs to chill out; have you seen the lyrics to this song? Lmao.
